Community leaders, politicians, and residents have paid tribute to the late Cllr Ron Seddon, chair of the Milton Keynes Liberal Democrat group, who died suddenly on Tuesday, 11th October 2022.

Ron was a dedicated and passionate public servant who made a significant contribution to the community of Milton Keynes. He was first elected as a councillor in 2003 and served as chair of the Lib Dem group since 2019.

During his time as a councillor, Ron was a tireless advocate for his constituents. He was particularly passionate about improving public transport, protecting the environment, and supporting local businesses.

Ron was also a keen supporter of the arts and culture. He was a member of the Milton Keynes Arts Council and was instrumental in bringing a number of cultural events to the city, including the annual Milton Keynes International Festival.

In addition to his work as a councillor, Ron was also a magistrate and a member of the Milton Keynes Citizens Advice Bureau. He was a true public servant who was always willing to go the extra mile to help others.

Ron's death is a great loss to the Milton Keynes community. He was a respected and admired figure who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
